This gallery shows some photos I might have taken on a Leaf Day assignment. If on assignment, I would have also called Portland's Transportation department to find out the route taken by the leaf truck to get a photos of the truck as well. Similarly, I would have asked for names of the residents featured. I felt that showing local residents doing yardwork with their leaves would encourage and remind readers to do the same. I also wanted to take advantage of the beauty of fallen leaves, which can be a striking eye-catcher for readers.
